Premarin® Vaginal Cream – 0.025%

Premarin Vaginal Cream is a combination of two medicines: estradiol (equivalent to 0.025%) and estrone (equivalent to 0.025%). These ingredients are responsible for estrogen replacement therapy and should be used only in the treatment of menopausal symptoms.

Premarin Vaginal Cream is used in the treatment of vaginal atrophy and inflammatory disorders, such as inflammatory lesions of the vagina, inflammatory nodules of the vagina (benign prostatic hyperplasia), inflammatory cysts (acute cystitis), and inflammatory vulvovaginal fistulas (ulcerative endometrial hyperplasia).

Premarin Vaginal Cream is used in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, the prevention of osteoporosis and prevention of osteoporosis associated with the use of estrogen replacement therapy, as well as the prevention of osteoporosis, the prevention of osteoporosis and the prevention of osteoporosis associated with the use of progestin-only drugs.

When it comes to the combination of estrone sulfate and Premarin Vaginal Cream, this is known as an estrogen-only combination therapy. It is important to check that you are using Premarin Vaginal Cream together with estradiol, as this can cause estrogen-induced hypogonadism.

Risks

The risks of Premarin Vaginal Cream can be minimised by using a low-dose combination of estrogens. You should take Premarin Vaginal Cream exactly as prescribed and for the duration recommended by your doctor.

You should not take Premarin Vaginal Cream if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or to other estrogens.

The use of Premarin Vaginal Cream during the third trimester of pregnancy may cause abnormalities of the foetus. The use of Premarin Vaginal Cream during the second and third trimester of pregnancy can cause abnormalities of the developing fetus. The use of Premarin Vaginal Cream during the second and third trimester of pregnancy may cause abnormalities of the developing fetus.

If you are experiencing any of the following conditions and are taking a particular form of Premarin Vaginal Cream, please inform your doctor:

• Pregnancy-related side effects: In general, this is a low-dose combination therapy. You should not use a higher dose of Premarin Vaginal Cream than your doctor has prescribed.
• Hypogonadism: Premarin Vaginal Cream is contraindicated in patients with an abnormally low level of male hormones. It should not be used in patients with hypogonadism and in those who are at risk of low testosterone levels.
• Osteoporosis: There are no data on the use of Premarin Vaginal Cream during the third trimester of pregnancy. You should consult your doctor if you have to use this treatment during the second and third trimester of pregnancy.
• Inflammatory disease: Premarin Vaginal Cream is contraindicated in patients with a history of a severe inflammation of the lining of the uterus. It should not be used in patients with a history of inflammatory conditions such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.
• Anaphylactic reactions: Premarin Vaginal Cream is contraindicated in patients with anaphylaxis. It should not be used in patients with anaphylaxis.

Disclose all medications, including prescriptions, non-prescriptions, vitamins, and herbs, as interactions with Premarin Vaginal 14gm Cream are possible. If you are planning for surgery or bedrest, consult your healthcare provider, and if breastfeeding, be aware that the cream's estrogen hormones may pass into breast milk. Also, notify your physician about any gallbladder disease risk, as estrogens can elevate this risk. Discontinue estrogen use if severe hypercalcemia, vision loss, extreme hypertriglyceridemia, or cholestatic jaundice arises. For women on thyroid replacement therapy, closely monitor thyroid function.

Thanks for the info, I’ve been on it for a year now. I know that if it were a medication, I’d take it for 5 years before using it as well. I’d use it every day for 4 years, and would like to get a break from it in this time.

I am on a med with my doctor, so she would be happy to prescribe it.

Thanks for all the advice, Doran. I appreciate it. I’ve been taking the cream a while and noticed it is causing me some redness. I also have some spots on the skin that I have been avoiding. I would be interested in a skin patch or something.

I know that I have red spots on my face and skin on my arms and legs. These spots are red because I have acne. They are caused by estrogen and can make it worse. I’ve tried some other acne treatments and they haven’t helped, but I do know that these spots need to be treated and it will be hard for me to see them in the future. I would love to know if any of your other acne sufferers have used Premarin cream.

Thanks for the replies. I think Premarin cream is the best thing to have for my skin. I think it might help with acne. I’ve also heard there are some people who don’t experience any burning, but I’m not sure that this is true.

I think it is best to have it in the morning before you start taking it and I would try to get some sunlight and take a shower and not to mention taking a tablet or something that you don’t want to take. I do have to try a lot, and I have a burning or burning sensation when I open my eyes. But if it is something else, I would try it as it is. You can also ask for skin patches or something.
